This thread will be an idea of what I have planned for future releases, and a place for you to make suggestions. none of this is set in stone, so suggestions like: "Why not release a config tab sooner" are completely valid. Any and all suggestions are welcome, whether you're a hard core coder, or someone just starting to play the game.

Version 1.4
  • Config Panel - Will have all config options (such as materials breakdown).
  • Auto-Response - Will allow you to respond to tells of "!materials item_link" with the required mats for it.

Version 1.5
  • History Tab -
    • A tab that contains a history of your last 10 items selected.
    • (accepted - Aphelandra) Also will contain a list of past X amount of people to whisper.

Version 1.6
  • (accepted - Aphelandra) Item Sets - Ability to choose multiple items for mat generation. Such as all Scopes. This will be limited in number.

Backburner (No promises on being implemented)
  • (accepted - DeTard) Easy Text Insertion - Shift-click a recipe for easy insertion into messages.

Key:
  • (completed) - Idea has been finished and is stable
  • (implemented) - Idea has been implemented, not tested
  • (accepted) - Idea accepted (from you, not one of mine), will implement when I get to it

what about having a list of the last 5 (or any other number) players who have whispered ?

sometimes i'll get a few whispers and after answering 2 or more of them with PH, i've to scroll up to see who's left.

http://wow.curse-gaming.com/de/files/details/3145/whisplist/      does something like that
but i just would need such a list while using PH.

Admin Edit: This idea accepted and apporved for release 1.5

What about an option to send a random recipe reagent list to the closest 5 gnomes to you?  They are tiny, cute, and love to be talked to.  They would appreciate this.  =)

ADMIN EDIT: I love this suggestion... While I don't want my addon to be used for spam... this is all in good fun and I'm sure gnomes would appreciate it. Not sure if I'll ever put it in but maybe if I get bored someday.

But a serious suggestion now Wink

I started using ReagentPoster before using your mod, and the one thing that I enjoyed with using it was the simplicity of posting mats from it.  PH does a better job of it overall, without a doubt, but here's how RP worked:

1. You opened up a profession window with recipes.
2. Select a recipe from your list.
3. Open a chat input box, select your preferred chat (start a /s, /p, /g, /1, /w name, etc).
4. Shift click the recipe.
5. Press enter to send message.

What happened when you did this was Shift click would insert a capital R into your chat.  You could type a message before the R (even including your own capital R in the message if you wanted, it "knew" which one was it's own), insert an R from RP, and then even put a message after the R.  It would auto separate the messages to make it all fit on multiple messages.

Now, I don't know how useful that would be to allow for messages beforehand or whatnot, maybe it would be convenient.  I think the reason for doing this would be that using /ph could become a config window only, nothing more, unless you wanted advanced messages including recursive breakdowns, multiple counts of a specific recipe, or multiple recipes as mentioned is planned.

Just a thought...

P.S.  If you haven't found out yet, I'm lazy.   Grin

ADMIN EDIT: This is interesting, and closer to how PH used to work. For now I'd like to build up functionality, but I can see this being implemented once I get the things I've announced done.
